Rest with me angel,
He gently whispers in my ear,
He takes my arm so gently,
Leads me to the bed,

He moves the pillows,
So they surround me,
Soft as a cloud,
He kisses my forehead,
And then my cheek,

And softly says,
Rest with me angel,
I can see that you’re tired,
I know you want to be with me,

Close your eyes,
I’ll be right here,
I won’t leave you,
Don’t be afraid,
If you open your eyes,

I’ll be right here by your side,

I hear him breath,
Softly on the back of my neck,
As he moves close to hug me,
Gently stroking my arm,
So sweet a caress,

Come on sweet heart,
He says,
Let me help you undress,
You can’t sleep,
So lets draw you a bath,

He even washes away,
The aches and pains,
Of all those other lovers,
Who never treated me this way,
His love is back in my heart,
He is around me all the time,

My angel, sweet angel,
Is just a spirit visitor,
He takes care of me,
Like no other,

I close my eyes and I can feel,
Him laying next to me,
I dream and he waits there,
Smiling holding his arms out to me,

My angel sweet, angel,
Says to me rest, please rest,
One day you will truly see me,
I’ll make you forget about,
All the rest who were cruel,
To your angel heart,
Stay with me here,
He says in a rose red velvet voice,

His love is so comforting and honest,
Why would I make any other choice?

My Angel is back with me every night,
He is so much better company,
Then any man I’ve ever had,
I just wish, that one day,

He will live with me in reality,
Instead of only in my heart.
